Payosing named Finals MVP for key defense, rebounding

James Payosing of San Beda University was named Finals MVP after helping the Red Lions reclaim their championship title in NCAA Season 99.

Payosing contributed crucially on defense and rebounding despite not putting up eye-popping numbers, averaging 9.7 points and 12.0 rebounds per game during the series.

In Game 3, Payosing recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds as San Beda defeated Mapua, 76-66.
