Pasig court denies Quiboloy TV interview to avoid bias

Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 159 denied Apollo Quiboloy's request to participate in a live television interview on Monday, January 13.

The court cited concerns that his public statements could influence ongoing proceedings and prejudice the judiciary, noting he is not restricted from campaigning through other means.

Quiboloy had requested permission for an interview on ABS-CBN News Channel but failed to produce a formal invitation from the network as required by the court.

The ruling emphasized the risk of any public statements undermining judicial impartiality in his ongoing criminal cases, which remain unresolved.

He faces non-bailable charges of qualified human trafficking and violations under Republic Act 7610, with both cases still pending.
