PGH stops non-COVID admissions; Pasay ER suspended

The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) has stopped accepting non-COVID-19 patients and suspended outpatient services due to a record-high number of COVID-19 admissions.

Only life-threatening emergencies, such as strokes, heart attacks, or trauma cases, will be accepted at PGH.

Pasay City General Hospital is also facing capacity issues with its ICU beds 86% occupied and only 13 isolation beds available, leading to the suspension of ER services for both confirmed and non-COVID-19 patients.

Both hospitals are prioritizing local residents for admissions and redirecting manpower from non-COVID areas to handle critical cases.
