PAOCC develops stricter safety measures, plans to deport 1,000 POGO workers

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) is developing stricter safety measures following a raid on an alleged POGO scam site in Makati where no employees were found.

Executive Director Gilbert Cruz stated they will consider holding the building owner accountable and discussed potential sanctions with Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, noting that it is now a legal issue.

Cruz also mentioned that PAOCC plans to deport over 1,000 POGO workers within the next two to three weeks.

Since last year, a total of 37 foreign POGO workers have surrendered to PAOCC, including seven Indonesians who turned themselves in earlier this week.

The Bureau of Immigration has reported that out of 518 arrested this year, 121 POGO workers have already been deported.
