Panganiban undergoes hip surgery for avascular necrosis

Filipino actress Angelica Panganiban underwent successful hip core decompression surgery on July 7 after being diagnosed with avascular necrosis last November.

In her latest vlog, Panganiban shared her anxiety and excitement leading up to the seven-hour procedure, which took place at St. Luke's Medical Center.

Doctors opted for a cord decompression surgery instead of a full hip replacement due to Panganiban's age, aiming to slow down further deterioration of her hips.

Post-surgery, Panganiban expressed relief but acknowledged ongoing pain and the need for recovery, including three weeks of bed rest.

The actress emphasized the importance of proper therapy, care, and support in her recovery process, reflecting on the emotional challenge of being away from her daughter during hospitalization.
