DBM Sec Pangandaman honored as 'Outstanding Filipina' at Women's Month event

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman was honored as the 'Outstanding Filipina in the Field of Public Service' at the Gawad Pilipino Awards Night on March 16 at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The event celebrated Women's Month by recognizing women for their contributions to empowerment, equality, and sustainable development.

Pangandaman, as the first Muslim Budget Secretary and a key member of President Marcos Jr.'s economic team, emphasized the importance of women's roles in driving progress across various sectors.

She acknowledged influential Filipinas like former DBM Secretary Emilia Boncodin and Senator Loren Legarda who have inspired her career and opened doors for others.

Pangandaman reaffirmed her commitment to gender equality and inclusive policymaking, pledging to champion every Filipina's voice, platform, and future.
