Palace vows faster COVID-19 vaccine rollout

Malacaōang vowed on Wednesday to improve access to and accelerate the pace of COVID-19 vaccinations in response to a Social Weather Stations poll showing 50% of Filipinos believe the rollout is slow.

Roque attributed improved vaccine site access to combined efforts by the executive branch, local government units, and private sector stakeholders.

To boost vaccination rates, the government plans to procure more vaccines, increase personnel through pharmacists and medical interns, use barangay health centers as sites, and collaborate with LGUs and the private sector for initiatives like mall-based, drive-thru, all-day night, and house-to-house vaccinations.
