Palace condemns China's vessel near Capones Island

The Palace maritime office has condemned China's deployment of a large vessel near Capones Island in Zambales as an act aimed at intimidating Filipino fishermen and normalizing its 'illegal presence' within the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

The Philippine Coast Guard, with support from naval assets, continues to monitor and challenge the Chinese coast guard ship’s activities.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs has filed a diplomatic protest over China's actions and is exploring international cooperation to address this issue.
