PAL cancels Middle East flights due to tensions

Philippine Airlines has canceled several flights in the Middle East due to escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.

The cancellations affect PR 684 from Manila to Doha, PR 658/659 from Manila to Dubai back to Manila, and PR 654/655 from Manila to Riyadh back to Manila on June 24, as well as PR 685 from Doha to Manila on June 25.

PAL advises passengers to check flight statuses online at www.philippineairlines.com or through the Official PAL Facebook page for updates, and notes that all flights bound for the Middle East remain on schedule as of now but will issue further updates if necessary.

Affected travelers have options to rebook flights within 60 days, convert tickets to travel credits, or receive refunds without penalties.

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific said all its flights to and from Dubai will continue to operate as scheduled but offers flexible options such as free rebooking and Travel Fund conversion for those who booked on June 24.
