PAGCOR to fund PMA facility upgrades, new office

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) pledged to fund key facility upgrades and constructions at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) during the PMA Alumni Homecoming in Baguio City on Saturday, February 15.

Pagcor Chairman Alejandro Tengco announced plans for a new Candidate Control Liaison Office, a modern warfare laboratory, a martial arts studio, and an Olympic-size heated swimming pool at the PMA Sports Complex.

Tengco emphasized that the current Candidate Control Liaison Office at the AFP Medical Center needs renovation due to its deteriorated condition and will be demolished and rebuilt.

Vice Admiral Caesar Bernard Valencia, Superintendent of the PMA, expressed gratitude for PAGCOR's support and highlighted future curriculum developments focusing on electronic warfare, cyber warfare, and artificial intelligence.

PAGCOR has previously funded various projects at the PMA, including the rehabilitation of the Sports Complex in 2012 and the construction of cadet barracks between 2016 and 2019.
