PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and seven provinces

The state weather bureau PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory on Thursday afternoon, warning of moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds over Metro Manila and seven provinces.

According to the latest 5:33 p.m. advisory, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers are expected in Batangas, Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, and parts of Cavite due to southwesterly wind flow.

Metro Manila and other affected areas will experience slightly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Residents were advised to be cautious of potential flash floods and landslides due to the severe weather conditions.

Typhoon Aghon had accelerated away from Luzon and was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday afternoon or evening.
