PAGASA warns of heavy rains, rough seas from LPA and shear line

PAGASA warns of heavy rains and rough seas across several regions in the Philippines due to a low pressure area (LPA) that developed into Tropical Depression Kabayan.

Kabayan is moving slowly north-northwest, causing heavy rainfall in Mindanao and parts of Visayas from Sunday through early next week.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Visayas, Mindanao, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Quezon, and Aurora due to the LPA and shear line.

Northern Luzon is affected by northeast monsoon, with potential for flash floods and landslides in Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
