PAGASA warns of heat index up to 46°C in 3 areas

PAGASA predicts that three areas in the Philippines will experience a heat index of up to 46°C on Monday, March 3.

Science Garden in Quezon City and Clark Airport in Pampanga are expected to reach a heat index of 46°C, while CLSU Muñoz in Nueva Ecija is forecasted for 45°C.

Forty-five other areas across the country will have temperatures between 33°C and 41°C, which could cause heat cramps and exhaustion, while continued exposure may lead to heat stroke.

Ten additional locations are projected to hit temperatures ranging from 40°C to 39°C, including NAIA in Pasay City, Dagupan City, and Tuguegarao City.

Due to the anticipated high temperatures, PAGASA has issued heat index warnings since March 1, urging residents to take precautions against extreme weather conditions.
