PAGASA warns of scattered showers, thunderstorms, flash floods, landslides for Election Day

PAGASA forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms in Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, and Kalinga due to the frontal system on Election Day.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of easterly winds.

PAGASA warns that moderate to heavy rains in these areas could result in flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience moderate winds moving from northeast to northwest, resulting in moderate coastal waters.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds blowing southeast to south with slight to moderate coastal waters, while Mindanao will see light to moderate winds from southeast to northeast with slight to moderate seas.

Temperatures across the country are expected to range between a minimum of 25.9°C and a maximum of 34.8°C over the next 24-hour period, with heat indexes peaking at 46°C in Sangley Point, Cavite City, and reaching dangerous levels ranging from 42°C to 51°C.
