Padilla visits De Lima, assures terrorism not part Islamic teachings

Senator Robin Padilla visited detained Senator Leila de Lima at Camp Crame on Wednesday to assure her that criminal acts like terrorism are not part of Islamic teachings.

Padilla, who is also a Muslim and fellow Bicolano, emphasized that the Abu Sayyaf members responsible for the hostage-taking do not represent Islam.

During the visit, Padilla discussed the possibility of home furlough but PNP chief Azurin stated De Lima chose to remain in Camp Crame.
