PA, USARPAC conclude joint drills in Cagayan Valley

The Philippine Army (PA) and US Army Pacific (USARPAC) concluded joint training drills in Cagayan Valley from June 16 to 19, 2025 as part of Salaknib Phase 2.

Over 1,200 troops from both armies participated in critical exercises including special operations forces missions and communication on the move.

More than 100 mobility assets traveled north from Fort Magsaysay to various locations in Cagayan Valley, while two ground forces deployed armor assets using a US Navy landing craft unit to Port Irene in Cagayan.

The joint operations involved sea and air domains with about 16 air assets transporting troops and supplies during the drills.

These exercises support the PA's strategic thrust to develop an agile force capable of swift deployment across diverse operational scenarios, deepening interoperability between the PA and US Army Pacific.
