8 drug suspects, incl HVIs, arrested in Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal

Two suspected drug pushers were arrested on Saturday, February 8, in a buy-bust operation in Dasmarinas City, Cavite, while three more individuals including high-value individual 'Marilyn' and street-level drug pusher 'Jonas' were apprehended separately late Monday, February 10, also in Dasmariñas City.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested suspected drug trafficker 'Kuya' in Antipolo City on the same day after selling P3,000 worth of shabu to a police agent and confiscated more than P1.6 million worth of shabu and marijuana from five suspects arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday in Rizal, Quezon, and Laguna provinces.

'Marilyn,' 'Alunayer,' and 'Jonas' were found with seven sachets containing 43 grams of shabu valued at P292,400 while 'Kuya' was in possession of 70 grams worth P2.5 million; the confiscated pieces of evidence will be forwarded to forensic units for laboratory examination.

In separate operations, police held alias 'Mark Bryan' and two drug pushers in Los Baños in Laguna who were found with marijuana worth P270,000 and a firearm, while another team nabbed suspects 'Romuel,' 'Jerry,' 'Hagibis,' and 'JayR' in Lucena City.

All eight suspects are currently under police custody facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2001/2002.
