P1.3B worth of shabu found in abandoned car in Pampanga

On Saturday, authorities recovered P1.3 billion worth of suspected crystal methamphetamine (shabu) from a car abandoned at a mall parking lot in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

The shabu was discovered by the NBI Manila Task Force Against Illegal Drugs and local police around 2:30 a.m., inside a red Avanza that had been parked for six days.

Police found approximately 100 kilograms of shabu hidden in tea packages, and are working with the Land Transportation Office to identify the car's owner.

The PNP chief commended the operation and emphasized the ongoing challenges posed by illegal drug syndicates.
