Over 1,000 minors with comorbidities vaccinated in pilot program

Over 1,000 minors aged 12 to 17 with preexisting conditions received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine during the initial week of the pilot vaccination program.

As of October 18, the total number increased to 1,509 vaccinated minors, according to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

Vergeire reported that the rollout was successful and parents showed confidence in the vaccines.

There were some reports of side effects such as anxiety and allergies, but no official data has been released yet by the DOH.
