OPAPRU chief urges MNLF to ensure successful Bangsamoro elections

The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) called on members of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) to help ensure the successful conduct of the first-ever Bangsamoro Parliamentary elections scheduled for October 13.

On its 57th founding anniversary, OPAPRU chief Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. praised the MNLF's dedication to peace and resilience.

Galvez emphasized that these elections are crucial for strengthening democratic governance and solidifying peace process gains.

The administration reaffirms its commitment to full implementation of the 1996 Final Peace Agreement, which remains central to achieving lasting peace and inclusive development with the MNLF.

Ongoing efforts aim to empower former MNLF combatants through socio-economic integration into the nation.

Galvez urged Bangsamoro people to find strength in their journey toward peace.
