Omar Baliw files criminal case vs. Quiboloy, Rosete over 'K&B' song

OPM rap artist Omar Baliw has filed a criminal complaint against Senatorial aspirant Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and SMNI President Marlon Rosete for allegedly infringing on his copyright of the song 'K&B'.

Baliw claims that without his consent, Quiboloy and Rosete used 'K&B' as the melody for their political campaign slogans during a February 11 event in Pasig City.

A recording with altered lyrics was also played at subsequent ricorida events across the Philippines, violating Republic Act 8923 or the Intellectual Property Code.

Omar's lawyers from Anarna Rosario Guinto Law Firm sent a cease-and-desist demand on February 19 but it went unheeded.

On Monday afternoon, March 24, Omar Manzano, also known as Omar Baliw, filed another criminal complaint for copyright infringement against Pastor Quiboloy before the Pasig Regional Trial Court.
