Oftana scores 42, Hollis-Jefferson 41 as TNT beats Magnolia 103-100

Calvin Oftana scored a career-high 42 points with nine three-pointers to lead TNT Tropang GIGA to a narrow 103-100 victory over Magnolia in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup on Wednesday, December 11.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added 41 points and 13 rebounds as the duo became the first teammates since 1991 to each score 40 or more points in a single game.

TNT took control in the third quarter with an 83-69 lead before Magnolia mounted a late comeback, including Mark Barroca's basket that brought them within three points, 91-88, in the fourth quarter.

Oftana and Hollis-Jefferson accounted for most of TNT’s scoring as no other player reached double figures, while Ricardo Ratliffe led Magnolia with 27 points.

Despite the narrow win, TNT secured their first victory of the conference after a disappointing start with two losses, while Magnolia dropped to 1-3 following three consecutive defeats.
