NUNS beats FEU-Diliman in UAAP opener

National University Nazareth School (NUNS) opened UAAP Season 86 with a convincing 70-56 victory over Far Eastern University-Diliman at Amoranto Arena on Tuesday.

Collins Akowe, a newly signed Nigerian player, starred for NUNS with 17 points, 21 rebounds, and three blocks.

Despite the graduation of last season's MVP Reinhard Jumamoy, NUNS relied heavily on Akowe to anchor their defense and offense.

FEU struggled in its first match, trailing by as much as 22 points.

Meanwhile, Adamson University secured a winning start with a victory over an unspecified opponent.
