NorthPort beats Terrafirma 97-75 in PBA debut

The NorthPort Batang Pier secured a dominant victory over the Terrafirma Dyip in their PBA Philippine Cup debut on Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, winning by a score of 97-75.

Arvin Tolentino nearly recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds, while also contributing one steal and one block.

NorthPort took control early in the game with a decisive first-quarter lead of 24-13, extending their halftime advantage to 47-38.

The Batang Pier continued to dominate in the second half, increasing their largest lead to 24 points past the halfway mark of the final quarter after Joshua Munzon's layup.

William Navarro supported Tolentino with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, along with three assists, one steal, and one block.

CJ Catapusan led Terrafirma with 16 points, but the Dyip struggled to keep pace throughout the game.

NorthPort will face the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters next, while Terrafirma looks to bounce back against Barangay Ginebra after the Holy Week break.
