Briones: No graduation rites amid COVID-19

Education Secretary Leonor Briones announced that there will be no graduation rites in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Briones stated that while only Luzon is under lockdown, many local government units in Visayas and Mindanao have also implemented similar measures.

She emphasized that postponing graduation ceremonies nationwide is better given the current conditions.

Students can still obtain their records and certificates from school but there will be no gatherings with family members or teachers.
