NKTI investigates alleged organ trafficking by nurse

The National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) is conducting an investigation into alleged cases of organ trafficking following the arrest of three suspects in Bulacan by the National Bureau of Investigation.

One of the suspects, who remains at large, is identified as an NKTI nurse and the alleged gang leader.

In a statement, the NKTI confirmed that the nurse is indeed an employee but assured the public that they are conducting their own investigation internally.

The hospital warned against entering into transactions outside its premises with individuals claiming to be from the NKTI.

NKTI emphasized that it only honors legitimate transactions for living organ donation and transplantation.
