NG debt at P11.93T as of end-November

As of end-November 2021, the national government's outstanding debt stood at P11.93 trillion.

This figure represents a slight decrease from October's record high of P11.97 trillion but is still 17.7% higher than the P10.13 trillion recorded in November 2020.

The year-to-date increase in debt was P2.14 trillion, or 21.8%, driven primarily by domestic borrowings which accounted for 70.7% of total debt.

Domestic debt decreased slightly to P8.44 trillion due to the net redemption of government securities and a favorable foreign exchange rate.
