NexGen Energy's P300B wind farm project gets green lane status

Airstream Renewables Corp., a subsidiary of NexGen Energy Corp., has received green lane status for its P300-billion wind farm project in Quezon province, which includes four wind farms.

The Board of Investments (BOI) granted these certifications to expedite the processing and approval of permits and licenses for the projects, emphasizing their strategic importance.

Included are two offshore wind farms—the 2,000-megawatt Real Offshore Wind Farm and the 300-megawatt Mauban Offshore Wind Farm—and two onshore wind farms—the 200-megawatt Pandan Labayat and the 300-megawatt Silang Maragondon.

NexGen Energy Corp. emphasized that these projects will contribute to environmental sustainability, lower electricity prices, and ensure energy supply sufficiency.

Eric Peter Y. Roxas, president of NexGen, stated that the green lane certifications reflect the government's confidence in Airstream Renewables' commitment to sustainable development.

The Silang and Mauban wind power projects are scheduled for completion by late 2027, while the Pandan and Real wind projects are set to be finished by 2028.
