Netflix releases first look at 'My Melody & Kuromi' series

Netflix has released the first look at its upcoming stop-motion animated series 'My Melody & Kuromi,' which will premiere in July.

The beloved Sanrio characters My Melody and Kuromi appeared in a 10-second video on Netflix's YouTube channel, celebrating the 50th anniversary of My Melody and the 20th anniversary of Kuromi.

Directed by Tomoki Misato and scripted by Shuko Nemoto during the pandemic, the series is produced by Toruku from WIT Studio in their first stop-motion project.

'This project brought us together to tackle challenges and innovate with stop-motion animation,' said director Tomoki Misato.

Nemoto emphasized that the story is infused with love for My Melody's enduring world, appealing to fans of all ages.
