NCRPO makes 220 arrests in 24 hours, 61 wanted persons included

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported 220 arrests within a 24-hour period from Tuesday, August 19 to Wednesday, August 20.

Among the arrests were 61 wanted persons, 45 for drug-related offenses, 44 for illegal gambling, and three suspects involved in loose firearms operations; an additional 67 offenders were also arrested through immediate police response and for various violations.

The NCRPO chief, Maj. Gen Anthony Aberin, emphasized the aggressive enforcement operations against criminal activities, including illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, and loose firearms, while upholding due process.

Aberin stated, 'We will not tolerate any form of criminal activity, from major syndicates to minor violations.'

The NCRPO remains steadfast in intensifying operations that directly address both high-profile targets and street-level violations.
