LRTA, NCRPO simulate LRT-2 resumption

On Tuesday, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) conducted a simulation exercise to prepare for the resumption of LRT-2 operations.

The exercise involved around 500 police trainees acting as commuters to test health and safety protocols, including social distancing markers and regular sanitation procedures.

Once operations resume, a 'no mask, no entry' policy will be implemented, and foot baths will be placed at entrances. Commuters with temperatures above 37.8 degrees Celsius or showing symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed inside.

Inside the train, markers have been placed to indicate where commuters can sit or stand, allowing a maximum of 160 passengers per train. The trains will also be disinfected after every trip.
