NCAA introduces battle for third place in most events

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has introduced a new rule for Season 99, adding a battle for third place in most events.

According to Paul Supan, chairman of the NCAA Management Committee, this change aims to reward runner-up teams with a third-place plaque.

This rule was already implemented in recent taekwondo, badminton, and chess events.

In men’s basketball, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde and Lyceum of the Philippines will compete for third place on December 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
