NBI finds no injuries on remains of Lapid slay suspect

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) found no signs of external physical injuries on the remains of Jun Globa Villamor, who was declared dead at New Bilibid Prison after being identified as a middleman in the plot to kill broadcaster Percy Lapid.

Villamor's family and Lapid’s brother want an independent autopsy done to verify the findings.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla clarified that Jun Villamor is the same person referred to as Crisanto Villamor Jr. by Joel Escorial, the gunman who confessed to killing Lapid.

The police have secured two more persons of interest: Christopher Bacoto from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), tagged as the 'second middleman', and an inmate named Jose Palana Villamor related to Jun Villamor.
