Napolcom receives tips on abducted cockfighters, 15 cops under probe

The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has received 'feelers' from individuals with detailed information about the abduction of 34 cockfighting enthusiasts, but Vice Chairperson Rafael Calinisan declined to provide specifics.

Calinisan expressed hope for cooperation and stated that a formal affidavit from these sources could significantly advance the investigation.

Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III confirmed that 15 police officers are under restrictive custody pending investigation and welcomed any voluntary cooperation from them as state witnesses.

Napolcom is also awaiting a sworn statement from whistleblower Julie Patidongan, who claims around 15 police officers are linked to the case of missing sabungeros, while ongoing investigations continue in various locations including Laguna and Batangas.
