Meralco's MPower extends power supply deal with Toyota Aisin

MPOWER, the local retail electricity unit of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), renewed its power supply agreement with Toyota Aisin Philippines, Inc. (TAP) to provide sustainable energy for TAP’s manufacturing plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Allan Cantal, Acting General Manager of TAP, emphasized the importance of partnering with companies that contribute to operational excellence and sustainability goals, highlighting MPower's role in supporting TAP’s transition towards 100% renewable energy starting from 2019.

Redel Domingo, Meralco First Vice-President, highlighted the company's commitment to providing reliable and efficient energy solutions at competitive prices, which helps Toyota remain competitive in its industry.

Since their initial collaboration began in 2013, MPower has been a key partner for TAP’s seamless operation and environmental objectives.

MPower’s dedication to supporting clean, renewable energy solutions is crucial given that TAP exports over 95 percent of its drivetrain components to Toyota plants worldwide.
