LTO summons motorcyclist for parking in road center

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) summoned the owner of a motorcycle parked in the middle of a road in Antipolo City after an image went viral on Facebook.

Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza expressed surprise at the rider's behavior and said the LTO issued a show cause order asking the motorist to appear before the agency and explain their actions.

The registered owner, who resides in Barangay San Roque in Antipolo City, is scheduled to face an investigation by the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) chief Renante Melitante.

In the show cause order, the owner was asked to provide a written explanation why they should not be administratively charged for obstructing traffic or have their driver's license suspended or revoked.

The motorcycle is currently under alarm status as the investigation continues.
