Miss Universe revokes Opal Chuangsri's title for violating contract

The Miss Universe Organization has withdrawn Suchata 'Opal' Chuangsri's third runner-up title from the 2024 Miss Universe pageant due to a breach of contract.

TPN Global, the organizer behind Miss Universe Thailand, allowed Opal to participate in the Miss World Thailand pageant before completing her reign as Miss Universe Thailand's representative, violating protocols set by the National Directors.

Miss Universe emphasized that participating in external pageants during one's reign violates contractual obligations and undermines the decorum of the title.

Opal was crowned Miss World Thailand 10 months after being named third runner-up at Miss Universe 2024 and is now preparing to compete against Philippine bet Krishnah Gravidez at the Miss World 2025 pageant in India on May 31.

The organization announced stricter regulations for National Directors starting May 1, 2025, to prevent similar breaches and maintain mutual respect within the Miss Universe family.

Miss Universe expressed appreciation for its partners and contestants who support the principles of the organization.

Opal remains undeterred by the withdrawal of her title, expressing gratitude on social media as she prepares to represent Thailand in the upcoming Miss World pageant.
