Miss Universe CEO steps down from JKN over false financial info

Anne Jakrajutatip, CEO and co-owner of Miss Universe Organization (MUO), has stepped down as managing director and CEO of JKN Global Group following a complaint by Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The SEC filed a formal complaint against JKN on June 5, 2025, alleging that Jakrajutatip and others included false information in the company's financial records.

Jakrajutatip faces fines of approximately P7 million and is banned from holding executive positions for four years and eight months due to misleading reports about MUO stake sales to Legacy Holdings Group.

Despite her resignation at JKN, Jakrajutatip remains as CEO of MUO, according to a statement released by the organization on June 6.

MUO clarified that any rumors suggesting leadership changes within the organization are unfounded and emphasized their commitment to empowering women worldwide under Jakrajutatip's continued leadership.
