Miss Earth 2024 finalists discuss promoting old traditions in modern times

The top four candidates of Miss Earth 2024 participated in a final Q&A round on Saturday, November 9, at Okada Manila in Parañaque City.

Each contestant was asked how they would promote old traditions in a world dominated by modern technology and had 30 seconds to respond.

Jessica Lane of Australia suggested using journalism, social media, and broadcasting to share environmental sustainability practices rooted in Dreamtime Stories.

Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir from Iceland emphasized educating younger generations about their heritage and resourcefulness during harsh winters.

Niva Antezana from Peru proposed leveraging social media to teach the new generation about deeply rooted traditions connected with Mother Earth.

Bea Millan-Windorski of the USA highlighted the importance of returning to natural modes of production and understanding nature's value to combat global warming.
