Mika Salamanca, Will Ashley help Quezon City, Marikina calamity victims

Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley from 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' continued their volunteer work with the Angat Buhay Foundation to assist those affected by Tropical Storm Crising and the southwest monsoon (habagat).

Despite heavy rains, Mika and Will joined other volunteers in preparing hot meals for calamity victims in Quezon City and Marikina, as documented on Angat Buhay's social media.

The celebrities also raised funds online through a donation drive to support more communities in need, providing transparent updates on the use of donations.

As of Wednesday night, July 23, the Department of Social Welfare and Development reported that over 3.2 million people were affected by recent weather disturbances.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council recorded 12 fatalities as of Thursday morning, highlighting the severity of the situation.
