MIFF rescheduled to March due to wildfires

The Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) has rescheduled its 2025 event to March 4-7 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, moving from its original dates of January 30 to February 2 due to the Southern California wildfires.

This year's MIFF will feature screenings and Q&A sessions with filmmakers and stars over four days, highlighting entries from the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 and 2024, as well as special screening films.

The festival aims to provide a platform for Filipino cinema on an international stage and will conclude with a fundraising event 'A Tribute to Our First Responders' at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

MIFF's revised plans include free admission for first responders and their immediate families at all screenings, and the festival will donate proceeds from its events to Los Angeles fire relief efforts.

The MIFF announced the new dates through its Instagram page on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
