MIAA cancels local flights due to Tropical Storm Aghon

Airport authorities canceled local flights on Tuesday, May 28, due to inclement weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Aghon.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) listed cancellations for CebGo affecting routes such as Manila-San Jose-Manila and Manila-Naga-Manila.

Philippine Ports Authority previously announced that sea travel to and from Burias Island, Northern part of Albay, Camarines Sur, and Quezon remains suspended due to Tropical Storm Aghon.

A total of 225 passengers were affected by the flight cancellations in Naga City.

While the effects of Typhoon Aghon have weakened as it moved away from the country's landmass, heavy rain is forecast over several parts of Luzon and Visayas due to enhanced southwesterly wind flow.
