Thailand to host Miss Universe 2025; MGI acquires five-year license for 180 million baht

Miss Grand International (MGI) CEO Nawat Itsaragrisil has officially announced that Thailand will host the Miss Universe 2025 pageant this November.

Nawat made the announcement on Instagram, confirming MGI's acquisition of the license to organize Miss Universe Thailand for five years starting in February and oversee all aspects of the event including contestant activities, production, marketing, and ticket sales.

The organization paid 180 million baht for the rights to host the event, according to Thai newspaper Nation Thailand, and will take place at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok on November 21.

Miss Universe Organization co-owner and CEO Anne Jakrajutatip expressed optimism about the partnership between MUO and MGI, emphasizing their commitment to empowering women and inspiring people around the world.

Thailand last hosted Miss Universe in 2018 when Catriona Gray won the title in the same venue, and this year's event marks a significant collaboration between two previously rival pageants.
