Mercury Drug accepts DSWD guarantee letters for medicine purchases starting June 2

Starting June 2, Mercury Drug outlets across various regions will accept guarantee letters issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for clients under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP).

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao announced that beneficiaries can now use these guarantee letters to purchase maintenance medicines.

The partnership between the DSWD and Mercury Drug began last November 2024, with the implementation marking a continuation of their collaboration.

Mercury Drug stores accepting DSWD-issued GLs are located in areas such as Fairview- Commonwealth, Ever Gotesco Commonwealth, Tandang Sora-Visayas, and others across different regions.

The participating outlets will accept GLs issued by the DSWD Central Office and field offices in multiple regions including National Capital Region, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and more.

Stores will display signage indicating acceptance of DSWD guarantee letters to guide clients who can also visit their local DSWD Field Office or check an online link for a complete list of participating branches.
