Meralco vs San Miguel in PBA Season 49 eliminations

Meralco and San Miguel Beer will face off in Wednesday's PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup eliminations at Rizal Memorial Coliseum to mark their first meeting since Meralco clinched its maiden title over San Miguel last year.

The game, which coincides with the PBA's 50th anniversary, features both teams wearing jerseys from their respective MICAA days in the 1970s.

Both coaches, Leo Austria of San Miguel and Luigi Trillo of Meralco, expressed excitement about the matchup and acknowledged each other's rich traditions and respect.

San Miguel aims to build on its early success in the tournament with a victory over Meralco, while Meralco looks to continue its strong start after winning two games.

In celebration of the PBA's golden anniversary, free admission is being offered to fans born in 1975, and discounted ticket prices are available for other attendees.
