Filipino tops April Physicians Licensure Exam

Christopher Niño Duane Camay Mendoza, a graduate of the Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine in Cebu, has topped the April 2024 Physicians Licensure Examination with an 89.25% rating.

Edison Yu Ong from the University of Santo Tomas and Raian Isabelo Palacay Suyu from the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation placed second and third respectively, scoring 89.08% and 88.83%.

Out of 3,434 examinees, 1,906 passed the examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission named two schools as the batch's top performers: University of the East with an 89.23% passing rate and University of Santo Tomas with an 84.85% passing rate.

Three examinees' results were withheld pending submission of required documents.
