Megaworld allocates P5B for new township in Cagayan de Oro

Megaworld subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts, Inc., is allocating P5 billion to develop The Upper Central township in Cagayan de Oro City.

Located along J.R. Borja Road in Barangays Gusa and Indahag, the 117-hectare project will feature residential villages, a pedestrianized commercial district, mixed-use developments, and its own town center.

The development includes green spaces covering about 40% of the area, with easy access to downtown Cagayan de Oro and Laguindingan International Airport.

Megaworld President Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso said the project is a milestone as it marks Megaworld's entry into its 35th township in its 35th year of operation.

The company aims to uplift the local community and economy through job creation, highlighting Cagayan de Oro's strong economic potential.
