Maynilad repairs pipeline, restores water in Metro Manila, Cavite

Starting Saturday afternoon, several areas in Metro Manila and Cavite experienced a water supply interruption due to urgent repair work on a damaged pipeline by Maynilad.

The repairs were completed at 5 p.m. on Sunday after the pipeline was accidentally hit by a third-party contractor building the New Pritil Market in Tondo.

Affected areas include parts of Manila, Pasay City, Parañaque City, Las Piñas City, Bacoor City, Cavite City, Imus City, Kawit, Rosario, and Noveleta.

Maynilad advised residents to expect gradual water supply restoration over the next few hours with possible discoloration as pressure builds up in the network.

The company has deployed mobile tankers on Sunday to deliver clean water to affected communities and placed stationary water tanks in some areas for additional support.

Residents were reminded that full recovery of normal service may take time depending on elevation, distance from pumping stations, and customer demand.
