Marcos launches PLDT's VSR Data Center in Laguna

President Marcos emphasized the importance of digital infrastructure in today's world, likening data to essential utilities like water and electricity during the launch of PLDT Group's VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) Data Center in Laguna.

Marcos praised the facility for its role in securing sensitive data across sectors and highlighted that this AI-ready data center positions the Philippines competitively with neighboring countries in the digital realm.

With an initial capacity of 50 megawatts and over 13,000 square meters of white space, the VSR Data Center supports advanced computing needs such as cloud services and high-performance enterprise systems.

The facility promotes sustainability by sourcing 35 percent of its power from renewable energy sources and using efficient cooling and backup systems.

Marcos stressed that this technological advancement is an investment in the future of every Filipino, supporting students, small businesses, and workers who rely on digital connectivity.

During his speech, Marcos likened securing digital information to having relationships, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding our digital security and securing our digital future.
