Marcos family votes early at Mariano MME School

Everything is prepared for the midterm elections at Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School in Batac City, where President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. voted early on Monday, May 12.

Former first lady Imelda Marcos and other family members including sister Irene Araneta and son Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos also cast their ballots at the same polling center.

Poll watchman Julito Cajudoy confirmed that all preparations are complete and election materials arrived early in the morning around 3 a.m.

Police officers were deployed to ensure security during voting, while the Philippine Red Cross provided assistance for voters' concerns.

Ilocos Norte has maintained its 'green' classification for the elections, indicating low risk of election-related violence or disruptions according to Commission on Elections-Ilocos Norte supervisor Joel Gines.
